An exquisite antique Victorian locket and collar hallmarked and dated Birmingham, 1882. The locket displays intricate, chased patterning across the front with a silver ball in the centre.
The large collar is detailed with ivy leaf engraving that represents a loving, unbreakable bond, as in the Victorian rhyme “Close clings the ivy to the tree, so in my heart I cling to thee”.
Both are fashioned in sterling silver and the locket is complete with rims and windows within to store those cherished family photos.
