This gorgeous sterling silver brooch is an unsigned work of art. The slightly domed disc-shaped brooch is decorated with a beautifully balanced abstract design. The piece was created using the Hopi overlay technique in which a carved layer of polished silver is applied to a layer of oxidized silver, creating a shadow box effect of contrasting textures. Circa 1980.
